Talk!

Whatever you do don't bottle up your feelings. If you find it difficult to share your feelings, seek professional help.

  • Take note of what helps you during times of severe stress or panic, and tell those closest to you. Very often just a tight hug can ward away the panic and restore you to normal once again. Maybe a cup of tea will help you when you feel stressed. Or a square of chocolate, time-out on your bed with a book, a walk with a friend--or alone.

  • Keep open channels of communication with your family. Don't try and pretend things are fine if they're not. Allow those close to you to BE close to you.

  • Don't allow feelings of frustration to come between you and those you love. Understand where your loved one is coming from, and where possible explain to them your position
