Do you have cancer?
Does a loved one have cancer?

Maybe it's time to Rise and Soar.
That's what the eagle would do
He would spread his wings and launch from the cliff.
When I faced a traumatic year of cancer treatment, I lived in Krugersdorp, South Africa. A mere 15 minutes' drive took me to the beautiful Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens. Presiding over these gardens is a pair of magnificent Verreaux's Eagles. Periodically, they launch from their eyrie high on the cliff and soar over the gardens.
During that horrible year, I desperately needed two things:
- A friend to walk with me.
- And inspirational material to remind me that God was still in control.
Today, 13 years later, I want to
- be your friend and walk with you—make that "fly" with you
- share inspirational material with you, to help you gain momentum for the flight ahead
The cancer valley is a horrid place to be. But there are ways to make it more bearable.
So prepare to spread your wings, friend. Together, we can do this.
Come! Let's rise and soar . . .
Note: This is a new website. I have transferred many of the articles from my other site. I plan to add a lot more information, but this site isn't intended to supply you with lots of technical knowledge. There are lots of places you can find that: See the links on the
Resources—Information page. Rise and Soar is here to provide inspiration and encouragement to those affected by cancer.
